FAQs

  • Play & Say, LLC and Bowling Green School are completely separate entities. Please be advised that Bowling Green School will not incur any costs for the services that we provide. Bowling Green has graciously given us the opportunity to lease commercial space on campus so that we may provide services in our clinic at the school as a convenience to parents, as well as a resource for students that need additional support. You can reach the Play & Say office manager at 985-402-1145.

Play & Say, LLC also carries our own professional liability insurance, as well as our own general liability on the leased space. Bowling Green has no responsibility for the services we provide.

  • We can help you decide. With your written consent, we can offer a free screening. When we do a screening, we spend 15 to 30 minutes with your child to briefly assess his/her development. We may also ask you some questions about your concerns and talk to the classroom teacher. A screening helps us determine if the financial investment of an evaluation and therapy is warranted or not. You can get started by emailing us at hello@playandsay.net. Once the form is submitted, we will get an automatic email and will contact you within a couple of days.

  • If concerns are noted during a screening or you already know that your child needs therapy, a full evaluation is necessary before proceeding with therapy. A full evaluation is a more thorough assessment of your child’s needs, it takes longer, includes more testing, and the evaluation also gives us enough information to create a treatment plan for your child.

  • We are excited to provide our evaluation and therapy services at Bowling Green during the school day. Not only is this convenient for parents, but providing services in the school setting may also give us the opportunity to create a therapy plan that considers your child’s academic needs.

When beginning therapy, we will make a recommendation for how often your child should receive therapy, and we will establish measurable goals. These goals will guide us in therapy as well as provide points on which we can track and report your child’s progress in therapy.

Rest assured that we will iron out scheduling details with the classroom teachers. We aim to work with your child during a time that does not interfere with core instruction.

  • It is unethical for us to screen or consult with you on a student without the parent’s consent. Please express your concerns to the parent so that they may request a screening and/or evaluation from us or another professional.

  • At this time, our availability for non Bowling Green clients is very limited. You may call to be placed on our waiting list.
